and the people of Zambia for the milestones they have made in developing their
country for the last 50 years of independence.
Reflecting
on the past half a century of Zambia’s Independence, the development, good
governance and democracy that have prevailed speaks volumes of the patriotism
and dedication of the great people of Zambia to build their country. The kind
of country you received from your Founding fathers in 1964 is not the kind of
country you will hand over to the next generation. Zambia today is a spark of
hope for even a better tomorrow.
